A WLS perspective on Thanksgiving

With the biggest holiday of eating just around the corner... I'm left to wonder how I'm going to get through the day without indulging in too many bites of stuffing and pie.

I read this article written by someone on one of the weight loss surgery websites I visit daily.  They describe exactly how I was feeling about Turkey Day.  So... click on the link to read the article and then read my reaction below.

You hit the nail on the head with this one!!

I was tempted to do on Thursday exactly what you just said here.  Take a few bites of everything, drink a cup of hot spiced apple cider rum and eat a sliver (or two) of pie.

But, thankfully, you reminded me of why I don't need to do that.  Why I'm thankful for my new Skinny Betsy body and that I don't need to eat my way through the day to be happy.

I bought a new outfit for the day, in a smaller size.  I'm going "treat myself" to that instead of treating myself to a piece of pie, extra bite of stuffing or over indulge on all the high fat, high sugar, high everything foods on Thanksgiving.  I am going to look smokin hot in my cute new dress and I'm going to feel great!! Happy Thanksgiving to me... I'm thankful for my new body!

I needed this reminder!!

Oh, and PS... Here's me in the fitting room trying on my new outfit for Thanksgiving.  THIS is my pie... my stuffing.... and extra helping of mashed potatoes!
